European unian was established after the second world war. European countries economic and political life’s begins with coal and steel comminity treaty. Six states belgium, france, germany, italy, luxemburg, and netherlands founder european union.today,there are 27 states members in european union. Now there are three candidate contries :turkey,croatia, former Yugoslav republic of macedania.
İn europa, 9 may 1950 accepted every years 9 may is celebrated ’’european day’’. Britain, ireland, and denmark admitted to membership in 1972.european steadly growing. European union had nine membership. Spain, portugal and greece counntries participated to europian union in 1981. Austria finland and sweeden became members to european union in 1995. Malta, czech republic, slovenia, hungary, slovakian, estonia, poland, lithuania and latvia are new members of european union in 2004.
At first six founding members establishmented coal and steel common market. After that, union decided to free movement of labor, goods, services. İn the union, manufactured goods were abolished customs duties 1 july 1968.
Thus, with this success United kingdom, denmark and the republicof ireland wanted to be member of the european union members. Summurize comunity has won new depth with social and regional responsibility. İn 1981 greece, in 1986 spain and portugal joined to comminity and europe has expanded to the South region. 1 january 1995,three new members : austria, finland, sweden joined the european union. Finally union, with these new members, european union became ore enriched and stronger.
